Ingredients:

4 tuna fillets, ½ inch (1cm) thick
¼ cup (50 ml) lemon juice
2 tbsp (25 ml) vegetable oil
2 tbsp (25 ml) soy sauce
4 whole wheat buns, toasted

Sesame Dill Butter

¼ (50 ml) butter, softened
1 tsp (5 ml) toasted sesame seeds
1 tsp (5 ml) dried dillweed
1 tsp (5 ml) chopped green onion
1 tsp (5 ml) soy sauce
½ tsp (2 ml) sesame oil
Pinch pepper

Procedure:

  1. Sesame Dill Butter: In a small bowl, combine butter, sesame seeds, dill, onion, soy sauce, oil and pepper. (Butter can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 days.)
  2. Arrange fillets in single layer in shallow dish. Combine lemon juice, oil and soy sauce; pour over fillets, turning to coat. Cover and let stand at the room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
  3. Discarding marinade, place fillets on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and cook for about 5 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork.
  4. Spread each bun with 1 tsbp (15 ml) Sesame Dill Butter. Sandwich fillets in buns. Make 4 servings.
