Coconut Curry Basa

🐟 Coconut Curry Basa

Mild, creamy, and perfect for introducing kids to new flavors.

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 basa fillets, cut into chunks

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp mild curry powder (or yellow curry paste)

  • 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (fresh or canned)

  • 1 tbsp lime juice

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh cilantro (optional), for garnish

  • Cooked basmati rice, for serving

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a large pan. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.

  2. Stir in curry powder and cook 1 minute.

  3. Add coconut milk and tomatoes; simmer 5 minutes.

  4. Gently stir in basa chunks. Cook 5–7 minutes until fish flakes easily.

  5. Add lime juice, season with salt & pepper, and garnish with cilantro.

  6. Serve with basmati rice.
