Miso Sesame Halibut and Slaw

MISO SESAME HALIBUT WITH CREAMY SLAW

6 cups finely sliced green and red cabbage
½ cup minced cilantro
¼ cup sliced scallions
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
Humble & Frank MISO SESAME SAUCE & MARINADE
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
4 8oz halibut fillets
½ cup toasted cashews

Directions

In a large bowl, combine cabbage, cilantro and scallions. In a small bowl, whisk together rice vinegar and ¼ cup Miso Sesame Sauce. Stir into cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Let sit covered, in the refrigerator, for at least one hour. Remove from refrigerator ½ hour before serving.

Heat oven to broil and move rack to top rung.

In a large cast iron skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Lay halibut fillets in pan, skin side down, and season fish with salt and pepper. Cook until skin is crispy, 6-8 minutes. Brush halibut with 2 Tbsp MISO SESAME SAUCE and place in oven. Watching carefully, broil until fish is cooked through and a little browned on top, 4-5 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit, loosely tented with aluminum foil for 5 minutes.

Top ‘slaw with cashews and serve with fish and extra MISO SESAME SAUCE.

Enjoy fresh halibut while still available or substitute with snapper fillets, on sale this week. Serve with crab cakes as an appetizer.  Click here for more exciting recipes!
