Grilled tuna bacon wrapper
Ingredients:
- 4 X 170g tuna steaks
- 12 bacon strips
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp Humble & Frank Lemon Butter Garlic Marinade & Sauce
- salt & pepper
Directions
Marinade tuna steaks in the lemon butter garlic marinade in fridge for 20-60 min. Poach bacon in water for 3 to 4 min. Preheat grill to med high. Wrap one to two strips of bacon around each tuna steak and fasten with a skewer or toothpick. Grill each side for 5-7 minutes. The tuna should be pinkish in the middle or rare to medium, try to not overcook the tuna. Your bacon should be crispy and done. Serve with a side of the lemon butter garlic marinade sauce and sprinkle with salt & pepper. In the oven, bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 min. and broil each side on low for 3-4 min each.
Tuna is a great pair to fresh herbs & spices and is delicious with that bit of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Serve with broccoli & cauliflower pan fried with garlic and tossed in oyster sauce. You will be amazed at how easy it is to grill tuna & create a meal you'll really enjoy!
